Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula

Eating a healthy diet is paramount to wellness and athletic success, but despite one’s best efforts, a busy schedule of family, work and training commonly results in limited food choices and a compromise in healthy eating habits. Not one of us has a perfect diet, and as athletes, our bodies use more nutrients than others, just to perform well. Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula is a great way to ensure that you get all the nutrients you need for a healthy body, as well as improve performance and recovery. Runners Essentials supplies 100% of 9 essential vitamins and 3 trace elements every single day, regardless of your diet. It also provides 6 powerful antioxidants and 4 phytonutrients which are not present in even the healthiest normal diets. Based on real scientific studies these are the best micronutrients for endurance athletes, targeted to optimize physical performance and aid recovery.

The benefits you realize from Without Limits Runners Essentials are best determined by you. We recommend a minimum of a 60-90 day course to achieve the maximum benefits.

Runners Essentials contains 22 ingredients, allowing you to realize the effects of each ingredient without the expense and nuisance of having to take them all separately.

We encourage Reading the Science behind the each of the individual ingredients.

"Instant Energy" supplements which give a sudden energy boost are typically caffeine based, and invariably cause an energy crash later. This is not a sound strategy for athletes. The formulation and the mechanism of action of Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula is designed to be quite the contrary.

Although you may feel a slight surge in energy the first day or two after starting Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula, this is probably due to many of the ingredients being new to your system, and this will normalize. As you continue to take Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula you may feel a constant and sustained level of increased energy and alertness, unlike the sudden jolt from an instant energy supplement.

Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula is based on sound physiologic principles and is designed to give you a solid nutritional foundation. With optimum nutrition, you are better able to improve your performance as a runner and endurance athlete using the tried-and-true methods of preparation, training, rest and recovery.

All of the ingredients in Runners Essentials Products are designated by the FDA as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and are listed on the FDA GRAS database. This is a list of all dietary supplements and food additives that have been determined by a consensus of expert opinion and by historical data to be safe if taken under the conditions and the dosages of their intended use. As a dietary supplement containing only GRAS ingredients, Runners Essential Daily Vitamin Formula and Runners Essentials LONG RUN RECOVERY Nutritional Shake do not require independent testing and approval by the FDA. View the FDA website.

There are 13 essential vitamins, Runners Essentials supplies 100% of 9 of them. Runners Essentials does not include A, C, E and K. The rationale for excluding these 4 is twofold. First, these 4 vitamins are normally supplied in abundance by virtually any diet short of starvation. Second, due to their volume and expense, their inclusion would require excluding the 4 phytonutrients and 6 antioxidants in Runners Essentials, which are targeted to optimize performance and promote recovery in endurance athletes, and which are not present in virtually any normal diet.

Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula contains 100% of the Daily Value (DV) of vitamin D and 122% the Daily Value (DV) of Iron, both of which can be toxic if taken in extreme amounts. Special attention should be paid to the total amounts of vitamin D and Iron if more than one supplement is taken.

Runners Essential products are manufactured in Farmingdale, NY by NutraScience Labs. View their certifications.

A Proprietary Blend is a sub-set of ingredients in a formula for which the total amount is listed, but for which the exact amount of each individual ingredient remains a trade secret.

When there may be synergistic effects of combining individual ingredients in certain ratios, a proprietary blend protects that information from being copied by other formulas.

As with all dietary supplements, you should seek the advice of your physician before starting. You should not take Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula if you are nursing, pregnant, or have any known hypersensitivity or allergy to any ingredient.

Although all of the ingredients in Runners Essential Daily Vitamin Formula are recognized as safe by the FDA, allergic reactions or hypersensitivity are possible with any supplement.

Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula contains powerful and effective micro-nutrients that you most likely have never taken before. When starting, it is recommended to take one capsule as a test dose and wait 24 hours to insure that there is no adverse reaction to any ingredient.

In our most recent surveys, approximately 0.5% (1 in 200) persons exhibited some mild GI upset when starting Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula. Almost all of the people reporting this side effect also reported that it was gone in a day or two. They also reported that cutting the daily dose in half to one capsule per day for the first few days alleviated their symptoms, and they were subsequently able to resume the normal dose. Remember, these are powerful ingredients and your body may need some getting used to these new ingredients.

It is generally accepted that children ages 14 and older can safely take adult strength vitamins, however you should seek the advice of your physician and / or pediatrician.

GMO is an acronym for genetically modified organisms. GMO free indicates no genetically modified organisms were used in the manufacturing process.

The FDA defines Gluten Free as having been tested and shown to be less than 20 parts per million (ppm).

Runners Essentials products have been tested and to be shown to be 4 ppm., easily passing the standard of Gluten Free.

The FDA regards any value of 3 ppm or less as undetectable hence Gluten is nearly undetectable in Runners Essentials.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle in taking a daily supplement is simply remembering to take it!

Storing your Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula next to your usual morning beverage of coffee, tea, water or juice will make it part of your morning ritual, and seems to work well for many.

Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula can be taken with food or on an empty stomach, before or after training, and as two capsules in the morning or one in the morning and one in the evening. If you take other medications, consult your physician for possible interactions and proper timing.

Your body cannot store most essential vitamins and minerals more than 24 hours, so in order to get the full range of benefits from Runners Essentials it should be taken every day.

Consult your physician prior to taking Runners Essentials

The DV (Daily Value) of elemental Iron as recommended by the FDA for adults ages 19-50 is 18 mg. Runners Essentials contains 22 mg, a slightly higher amount, as runners lose iron with every foot strike.

The UL (Upper Tolerable Intake Level) of elemental Iron as  defined by the FDA as the maximum daily intake UNLIKELY to cause effects for adults is 45 mg, which is MORE THAN TWICE what is contained in Runners Essentials.

Generally accepted treatment for Iron deficient individuals is in the range of 150-200 mg per day which is usually well tolerated. Adults with normal intestinal function have very little risk of iron overload from dietary sources of iron.

Intakes of greater than 20 mg/kg ( 1200 mg per day for a 140 lb person) can lead to gastric upset, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and faintness. You would have to take over 100 capsules of Runners Essentials Daily Vitamin Formula all at once to get 1200 mg of Iron (Please Don’t!)

Runners Essentials LONG RUN RECOVERY Nutritional Shake

Most protein shakes have only protein and carbohydrates, with some adding a few vitamins and minerals. Their formulas are not designed to promote recovery of a specific type of exercise such as endurance running.

Long Run Recovery has protein, carbohydrates, and 10 other ingredients which are targeted to promote rest, repair, and recovery after a long run. We encourage you to read the science behind the ingredients. If you run long, there is no other recovery shake on the planet better for you.

Add 12-16 ounces of water, milk, or a milk substitute… it’s up to you! You can add ice or fruit as well. Long Run Recovery can be shaken (see our shaker bottle), or blended.  One of our personal favorites is combining Long Run Recovery with coconut milk and ice in a blender.

If you are doing a run away from home, throw your Long Run Recovery packet, a shaker bottle, and a 16 ounce bottle of water in your backpack and you are good to go wherever you finish your long run!

You can drink it anytime, but scientific studies tell us the maximum benefits are achieved if you drink Long Run Recovery within 30 minutes after finishing your long run.

We understand that you may like Long Run Recovery enough to want more than one per week, and that is perfectly fine. Be sure to check out our twice weekly shake plans for the best deals.

Long Run Recovery contains a full 1 gram of Tart Cherry extract, a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory polyphenol compound which lessens pain, accelerates strength, and decreases blood markers of inflammation. It also can give a slight tart after-taste to some people. We think you will agree that whatever little tart after-taste you might experience, your accelerated recovery will be worth it.

There are no additional simple, complex, or refined sugars in Long Run Recovery beyond the stated 47g carbohydrates in Vanilla, (48g in Chocolate) as might be interpreted from the Supplement Fact Panel (SPF).

To interpret the SFP correctly, it is important to understand that the FDA, in accordance with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994, requires manufacturers to follow specific guidelines for the labeling and the format of the SFP of dietary supplements.

Carbohydrates are biochemically classified as (complex) sugars, and are required to be listed as sugars on the SFP of dietary supplements.

Long Run Recovery contains a total of 47g carbohydrate in Vanilla flavor and 48g in Chocolate. The carbohydrates maltodextrin and waxy maize make up 39g of that total.

The listing “39g Added Sugar” refers to the 39g of maltodextrin and waxy maize carbohydrates and is listed under “Total Carbohydrates” in the subheading titled “Added Sugar”.

The remaining carbohydrate (8g in Vanilla, 9g in Chocolate) are supplied in small amounts as components of other ingredients and increase the total to 47g (or 48).
