I started taking the Runners Daily Vitamin about a year ago when they offered a free trial. It was at a time in my running career where I was happy with where I was, with the days of PRs behind me, but a boost would be helpful. So with the help of a running coach and taking Runners Daily Vitamin, I started seeing some improvements.
In February, I was close to PR in a 10k. At the time, I was training for the Nashville Rock 'N Roll Marathon in April, followed by the National Senior Games in June. Even though I was dealing with an achilles issue, my running was still going well. I PR'd in Nashville on a course that was a bit hilly and qualified for the Boston Marathon, which I am currently training for in April.
Runners Daily Vitamin has helped me with the boost that I needed this year and I am very grateful for all that I have accomplished and for a vitamin that I take daily. In May, I broke an NC state record for my age in a 5K, then broke it again in October after a little setback with a fractured toe. The records are unofficial since I am still waiting for them to be recorded. In June, I then came in first at the senior games in the 1500 and 2nd in the 800. My time in the 800 was the 4th fastest time in the Senior Games history which started in 1987. This was my first time competing at a high-level track meet since high school, so I was really excited to be representing NC.
I then set my sights on the Battleship Half Marathon in November, where I was going for another NC state record in my age and was able to unofficially break that record.
In February, I am aging up to the big 60 and excited to see what 2020 will bring.
